How To Thank Your 2020 Referrals

The end of the year always seems to come and go in the snap of your fingers. If you have been part of my community for a while, then you have heard me talk about just how important referrals are to your photography business.

Great relationships with vendors + ongoing appreciation = more referrals.

And we all know that more referrals = a more flourishing business. Woo!

As the year comes to an end and we start a new year fresh, now is a great time to show appreciation to the people who have been influential in your business this year.

Here are some ideas for how to thank your referrals:

1. Mug + Coffee

I’m coffee obsessed, so this gift is at the top of my list. You can find a cute mug and pair it with a bag of nice coffee, and you have a great gift for your coffee-loving referrals.

2. Teak & Twine Holiday Gifts

I love Teak & Twine because the gifts are gorgeous and they take care of everything for you. That, and right now they have a great collection of holiday gifts. Click here to shop, and use code JulieWilhite10 at checkout to save 10%.

3. Gift Card to Your Favorite Local Business

I love shopping at local businesses so I can support other small business owners! Find a local coffee shop, boutique, or flower shop and gift your referrals a gift card. It doesn’t have to be much — just enough to show you appreciate all the business they sent your way.

4. Bottle of Bubbly

No explanation needed here, am I right?! 😉

5. Take Them Out For Coffee / Drinks

Another way to show your appreciation is to take them out for a nice cup of coffee, a glass of wine, or a meal. If you have a more personal relationship with someone, this is a great way to say thank you.

6. Holiday Card or Thank You Card

This may sound too simple in comparison to the other ideas, but a handwritten card can be more than enough. If you’re just starting your business, or you’d prefer not to spend a lot this year on thank you gifts, this is a great route.

Always, always keep this in mind: thank people in a way that feels good to YOU. We are all different, our businesses and styles are different, and there isn’t a right or wrong way to show appreciation.

What is your favorite way to thank your referrals? Comment below – I’d love to know 🙂
