If you’re a photographer that made it through 2020, then chances are you’ve said to yourself, “I really want to find other ways to generate income,” maybe, more than a few times. How could we not? The last few years have caused sleepless nights as we had to endure cancellations, financial loss, and exhaustion.
When the pandemic hit, I was the sole breadwinner of the family. We had just let my partner’s business go, and we had also just taken out a substantial loan for a home renovation project. I was betting big time on my spring/summer weddings to pay off the loan and replenish my savings account.
In a matter of 24 hours, I lost all of my summer/spring weddings. This is when I made a huge shift in my business. And that big shift?
Adding in multiple streams of income.
But it wasn’t easy at first. The challenge I ran into time and time again was that the only type of passive income ideas for photographers that I could find was focused on coaching and education. In fact, I was invited to a passive income conference recently and their main avenue for creating this was by creating coaching and educational programs.
I knew what went into creating an offer and a program. And I knew I didn’t want to do that.
In 2022, I challenged myself to find a different way.
And guess what? I added 5+ figures to my business with these new streams.
